GeBIZ: Singapore’s government tender portal, explained

GeBIZ is the Singapore Government’s one-stop e-procurement portal. Ministries and statutory boards publish their tenders and quotations there, and suppliers use it to download documents, submit bids and see award results. It’s the main place to find Singapore government tender opportunities.

What you’ll find on GeBIZ

  • Business opportunities: open tenders and quotations from government agencies, each with a reference number, closing date and documents.
  • Award information: who won past tenders and the awarded amount.
  • Supplier functions: registration, document downloads, clarifications and online bid submission.

Tenders from ministries, statutory boards and organs of state appear on GeBIZ. Private companies, condominium MCSTs and many government-linked companies run their own procurement portals instead, so you won’t find those there.

Registering as a GeBIZ Trading Partner

Anyone can browse notices. To bid, your business registers as a GeBIZ Trading Partner and logs in with Corppass. Once registered you can download documents, ask clarification questions and submit bids electronically.

Registration makes you able to bid. It doesn’t tell you when something relevant is published, so you still have to find the right notices yourself.

Tenders vs quotations

Each opportunity is either an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for larger purchases or an Invitation to Quote (ITQ) for smaller ones. Quotations are more numerous and close faster, often within days. They’re a good way for smaller firms to build a public sector track record, but they’re easy to miss.

Keeping up with new notices

Hundreds of new notices are published every month across all agencies and categories. Most suppliers either search GeBIZ daily, rely on someone in the team to remember, or pay for a listing service.

TenderSmart watches for new Singapore government tenders and quotations and emails you the ones that match your keywords, agencies and categories every morning, with a link straight to the notice on GeBIZ.
